a story to share (by shawn):
Once there is a boy at an art museum. Besides him is an old man, holding on to a lighted candle. The old man asked the boy to hold on to his lighted candle, and walked the whole museum, n making sure that the light does not goes off. The boy followed his instructions, walk round the whole museum, looking after the candle cafefully, making sure it doesnt goes off.
The boy came back n told the old man: "Sir, im back with ur candle n its still lighted "
The old man replied: " So what did you see in the museum? "
Boy: "Oh, i didnt see anything, cos im concentrating on the candle, making sure it doesnt goes off"
Old man: "ok, now u walk one more round, and jus admire the art pieces"
The boy came back n the old man ask the same qn on what the boy had see.
This time round he told the old man about the wonderful art pieces, the beauty, the skills etc. But this time the candle flame had goes off.
Moral of the story: Do what u really want (visiting the museum n admiring the art), n ignore the responsibility tht someone imposes on u. In other words, live for yourself, not for others.
After listening to the story, feel tht yup its true but didnt hav really much thought about it until
while gg hm after biz tut today, had some deep thinking gg on.. am pretty sad over some news and am quite disappointed with myself. i tot i hav grow out of nt being so naive n nt being so submissive. but y am i still fall into traps of mind game, agreeing to ppl's benefits n nt ur own benefits so easily.
Y cant i just be firm on my own stand.
Y do i trust ppl so easily.

holiday is ending soon in another 1 more day.. smth has been weird as i wonder bout this holi, there's some emptiness in this holi, n finally i knew wad is it.. a overseas getaway trip. n ta-daa, me n benimaru decided to go for a 3day getaway trip in tioman to end this holiday fulfilling..

catch up my hk serials ( completed D.I.E, left a few episodes of some forensic hk serials)
pass my driving (passed 20th May 08)
complete basic sign lang 2 (Passed 4th June 08)
meet up with lost touch friends (Done)
lose weight (didnt meet my target, as long its healthy hehe)
work (for money sake only) (pay + scholarship shld b able to allow me sustain for a few sems bah)
shopping (still ongoing haha)
refurnish my room (nice n tidy ready for sch start)
camp outreach (a fruitful trip)
21st bday(memorable bday)
go on a holiday (tioman getaway)
I wld say its definitely a fruitful holiday, did the things i wanna do, nt forgetting working too to earn some allowance.. im ready for another sem of mugging.. hehe =)

Day1
Reached far east at ard 615am ready to board the bus to the legendary beautiful island, tioman. Upon reaching, was amazed by the beautiful sight, the super clear sea water, the nice chalet (other than the shower head) and the friendly staffs. Slacked, ate lunch, had a trial snorkelling trip, shopped around, enjoy the starry night with a nice bottle of mixed wine. Oh yah, the sky is super beautiful with countless number of stars..

Day 2
Snorkelling day. Went to the middle of the sea for snorkelling. Beautiful corals n fishes. But pity i do not hav any water proof camera. But the sea sickness is really uncomfortable though. further snorkelling plus feeding of fishes after lunch. Camera siaoness time. Seen the most beautiful sunset so far.. Dinner.. den spa.. 1st experience with spa. Just wonderful.

3rd day
Breakfast, slacking around jetty, enjoy-ing the last view of tioman n the fishes b4 heading back to singapore.
